Eligibility
The applicant must also be able to fulfill the following criteria as well as agree to:
- be currently enrolled in an undergraduate medical degree.
- be in the clinical years of their medical degree (with the exception of John Flynn Scholars)
- complete and submit a NT RUSC Pre-Placement Application Form
- submit a recent passport photograph of themselves
- produce a letter from the university stating that he or she is a student of good standing
- produce evidence of insurance and medical indemnity cover from the university or privately
- provide evidence of immunisation for the following: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, ADT, OPV and MMR (compulsory). Pneumococcal and influenza (recommended).
- must agree to undertake the specific orientation and debriefing sessions provided by the training program pertinent to the region in which they will be placed
- agree to the conditions outlined in the NTGPE Student Placement Agreement, and submit a signed copy to NTGPE before commencing the program

Successful applicants must submit the requested documentation to NTGPE no less than one month prior to the placement comment date. Failure to do so is likely to result in the canditates forefeiting their placement.
