Applications and Transfers
New Applicants
Applications to join the GP Registrar program are made to Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) via its website. It is a five step process that determines an apllicants eligibility, prefered selection of training pathway, details required supporting documentation and the completion and lodgment of the application form. Detailed on its website is all the information and guidelines applicants require.
Transfers
NTGPE invites inquires from registrars wishing to transfer from other regional training providers interested in a unique learning experience in Aboriginal primary health care and/or rural and remote training.
Before applying for a transfer the applicant must discuss alternativer options, which may exist, such as applying for leave of absence with their Medical Educator. Applications for transfer are made to Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) via its website. All applications for transfer must be signed and approved by the originating Regional Training Provider, NTGPE and Australian General Practice Training.
Applications for transfer between Rural and General training pathways must also be made to Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) via its website.
