The 2016 placement application process will consist of two rounds:
Round 1: 01 June 2015 – 31 July 2015
- Open to GP Registrars who have already completed a GP Training Term and who are now in their second, third, Extended Skills Post (ESP), Advanced Skills Post (AST) or Advanced Rural Skills Post (ARST) placement.
Round 2: 31 August 2015 – 2 October 2015
- Open to new 2016 GP Registrar applicants, existing GP Registrars who are currently in hospital terms, and GP Registrars that have completed an ESP or AST/ARST prior to commencing GP Terms and are now ready for first term GP placements.
Round 1 Unplaced GP Registrars: 1 – 20 August 2015
- For those GP Registrars that were not successful in securing an offer from Round 1, only then will NTGPE commence negotiations with Training Posts to facilitate placement.
Round 2 Unplaced GP Registrars: 3 – 31 October 2015
- For those GP Registrars that were not successful in securing an offer from Round 2, only then will NTGPE commence negotiations with Training Posts to facilitate placement.
