GP Registrar Workshop - Darwin

NTGPE is funded by Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) to provide postgraduate training in General Practice in Australia's Northern Territory.  In 2005 this comprised around 50 GP Registrars placed throughout the NT training towards the fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Our registrars work in a variety of locations, ranging from urban mainstream general practices to remote Aboriginal community clinics. We offer a range of support services and aim to provide a truly unique training experience. Registrars are supported in their training by a network of dedicated Medical and Cultural Educators and a professional team of administrative and executive staff.

Educational Activities:

NTGPE offers a wide range of educational activities. These include  twice yearly workshops, supported small group learning sessions, regional forums and external clinical teacher visits (ECTVs). From 2006 in place of weekly teleconferences there will be regional small group learning sessions in Darwin, Katherine, Alice Springs and Gove.
