The cultural immersion camp is beneficial for anyone working in an Indigenous cross-cultural environment: health professionals, educators, administrators, project managers, Government employees and other associated professionals.
What are the Objectives of the Camp?
To assist non-Indigenous Australians to:
- Make your cross-cultural and remote work more relevant and valuable to Aboriginal people
- Work more effectively with your Aboriginal colleagues
- Experience first hand how contemporary Indigenous people live
- Experience remote living and how it affects one’s ability to access essential services
- Provide a forum for open and honest exchange in a safe and friendly environment
How should I Register?
Courses run at various times during the year and details are made available on the website once they are finalised.
You can register your interest for a 2012 cultural immersion camp with the Training Projects Manager, NTGPE Cultural Educator on [email protected] and you will be contacted once dates and locations have been finalised.
