Fellowship in Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP) now!

RACGP’s National Rural Faculty will be hosting a free and interactive webinar “Starting Out in Rural General Practice” for all 2015 AGPT Rural Pathway registrars on Wednesday 25th February 2015 at 7pm (AEDT). The session will be presented by two rural GPs and will cover a range of informative topics related to rural general practice.

The benefits of the FARGP:
• enables registrars to develop skills, competencies and confidence to work in rural Australia
• is based on contemporary adult learning, reflective practice and self-determined learning
• gives candidates access to an online learning platform that enables them to complete the program on the go
• builds on the specific knowledge and skills that are being developed as part of GP training towards the FRACGP
• should be commenced early in GP training to enable registrars to get the most of their training opportunities and supervision

The benefits of combining the FARGP and FRACGP pathway include:
• flexibility
• recognition for two RACGP fellowships on completion
• a community focused qualification
