This very modern and
meticulously equipped practice was purpose built and opened in early
2003 following relocation from another area in the shopping
centre.
There are three doctors at Fred’s Pass and a practice nurse
as well as support staff. Medical Director is used.
Fred’s Pass Medical Centre has 5 consulting rooms and a large (3 bed) emergency treatment room with defibrillator, autoclave, nebuliser, oxygen with resuscitation; 2 ECG machines; etc. A fully equipped doctor’s ‘crash’ bag is ready for emergencies outside the clinic. This practice serves as the emergency base for accidents and traumas in rural Darwin region. There is a large variety in the cases seen at this practice with a patient load of around 12,000 people |
Fred’s Pass is the first general practice
in the NT/SA region to go online and adopt MedicLink - the
HIC Billing package. The principal GP is Dr Lionel Crompton and the practice manager is Ms Pat Crompton. This practice is suitable and accredited for Basic, Advanced and Subsequent Term GPR's and is a well supported and much in demand training location.
