This busy six doctor practice
in modern purpose-built rooms in the Central Business District of
Darwin offers two supervised GP terms. There is a very wide patient
base including:
Office workers from the CBD, Industrial workers from the wharf,
Frances Bay and Winnellie, Families (including a large paediatric
population) from all areas of Darwin rural areas,
Armed Forces Personnel and their families, and a large gynaecological/antenatal
population.
A Practice Manager is employed to administer the practice. The centre
is fully computerised including patient records. Educational sessions
are frequent and include tutorials, case review, direct observation
and video-tape review.
Practice hours are 8am - 5pm with no evening or weekend work required
(although this is available to interested Registrars at locum rates).
GP Registrars work at 20 minute appointments, but after 6 weeks
an agreement with the Practice Manager may move to 15 minutes. The
practice like you to arrange a tour of the practice with Kathryn
Poulton the Practice Nurse, prior to starting (45 minutes). Annual
leave must be approved by the practice.
