There is an airstrip located within the community environs to the north-west of the police station. However, the airstrip may be out of action for short periods after heavy rains. The DCA visit the community to inspect the airstrip.

Description:
The main Elliott Health Centre is in the township of Elliott. There is also a clinic which operates every weekday morning at Malinja, 25 kilometres north of Elliot. Both Health Centres are in the Barkly district.
There are 2 vehicles available to the Health Centre. One vehicle is a 10 seater Troop Carrier with a radio and the other has been fitted as an ambulance and has a satellite phone and radio
Evacuation – first choice of evacuation is by air from Elliott but the majority of evacuations are by road with a halfway meet. Patient Assisted Travel is available to patient from Elliot.

At Elliott AHW and RN are rostered on call locally after 5.00pm weekdays and on weekends. AHW are first on call on most days and contact an RN if needed.
A DMO is on call at all hours in Tennant Creek for phone consultations and evacuations
