The Dry
The dry season in the Top End runs from May to October with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 32°C. Humidity is usually around 20 to 35% and there is little to no rain. The moderate temperatures are most comfortable for travelling activities such as hiking, camping, cycling, with most areas being easily accessible.
The Wet/Tropical Summer
The wet season stretches from November to April. Temperatures during this time usually range from 25 to 33°C, with humidity reaching higher than 80%. It is during this season that the Top End receives a majority of its yearly rainfall, which averages 1570mm. The wet season is also subject to monsoonal rains, storms and even tropical cyclones. Access to some attractions in the remote areas of the Top End may be closed due to flooding.
