GP Trainers:
NTGPE works with accredited, experienced GP Trainers in every placement post offered to GP registrars. The GP Trainers who support the training program are based in urban and rural mainstream general practices; regional hospitals; Aboriginal Medical Services in Darwin and regional centres, such as Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs; and in very remote Aboriginal community controlled health clinics.

To support GP Trainers, NTGPE runs a Trainers workshop each year and ensures those new to supervision are provided with up skilling on adult learning techniques and with the NTGPE Trainers Handbook, as well as the teaching guidelines from AGPT and the RACGP.

The GP Trainers are represented on the NTGPE Board by their Liaison Officer - Nigel Gray.
