Passionate, skilled and innovative people make up the NTGPE family.

We offer training and support services to GP registrars, GP supervisors and training posts. To do this our people are skilled in medical education, management, administration, finance, counselling and well being, marketing and communications, events management, human resource management  and information technology.

There are about 45 full time staff and a 15 casual medical educators and assessors.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Company Secretary
Stephen is the Chief Executive and Company Secretary of NTGPE Ltd. Stephen is very interested in education and health and, in particular, improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Darwin, NT

Stephen is the Chief Executive and Company Secretary of NTGPE Ltd. For the last 19 years Stephen worked at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, most recently for seven years as a senior executive with responsibility for finance, budget, campus services, planning and facilities. Stephen has over 26 years’ experience in higher education, both in government (Canberra) and in universities in a variety of roles. In addition, while in Brisbane Stephen was a Director of a university innovation company as well as a Director on the boards of a private school, an aged care service and a hospital.

Stephen is very interested in education and health and, in particular, improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people. This will be the second time Stephen has worked in the NT; previously working as a labourer in Gove in the early 1980s before commencing university studies. Stephen has tertiary qualifications in science and economics and is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Pastoral Care Officer & JFPP Program Manager
Sue currently manages the provision of support to GP registrars throughout their training in the form of pastoral care.

Sue currently manages the provision of support to GP registrars throughout their training in the form of pastoral care. Support generally includes offering advice and information to encourage the social and emotional wellbeing of the GP registrars. Sue has a long and strong history in supporting families and is passionate that participants coming to the NT feel well supported and have positive experiences.

Susie is responsible for the joint management of the GP Registrar Program
Darwin

Susie brings a strong background in health management and education from her experience in practice management and practice staff training. She works in tandem with the other GPR program manager and is responsible for many areas relating to GP registrar training. Susie is the line manager for the GPR support team members who work in the areas of:

  • Placements
  • Practice capacity
  • Orientation and workshops
  • AGPT application process including provider numbers
  • RIDE and NAC reporting
  • ADF GP registrars
  • NTGPE awards night
  • Issues relating to the RACGP pathway including exams
  • GP tracks
