Passionate, skilled and innovative people make up the NTGPE family.

We offer training and support services to GP registrars, GP supervisors and training posts. To do this our people are skilled in medical education, management, administration, finance, counselling and well being, marketing and communications, events management, human resource management  and information technology.

There are about 45 full time staff and a 15 casual medical educators and assessors.

Dr Emma Kennedy is a practicing general practitioner and has made a major contribution to medical education in the Northern Territory.

Dr Emma Kennedy is a practicing general practitioner and has made a major contribution to medical education in the Northern Territory. Emma has lectured for the Northern Territory Clinical School, Flinders University and Sydney University. Emma has held medical educator positions with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Northern Territory General Practice Education.

Registrar Liaison Officer (RLO)
The RLO position is a formal conduit between GP registrars in the program and NTGPE program staff.

Dr Georgina Taylor is one of two RLO at NTGPE. A very important position, this person acts as the go-between between GP registrar in the program and NTGPE program staff.

Supervisor and Practice Medical Educator
Hubert is responisble for GP supervisor training and professional development as well as training post capacity and development.

Hubert is a member of the lead medical educator team at NTGPE and is heavily involved in GP supervisor training and professional development. He also works in accreditation and training post capacity development and training. Hubert is responsible for SLO and ECTV support.

Dr Jo Wright began in Remote Health with the Northern Territory Department of Health in 1990, and has extensive experience in primary health care service delivery, management, reform, evaluation and teaching. He has been a contributing editor to several editions of the CARPA Standard Treatment Manual. Jo is now the Director of Activity Based Funding, being responsible for the implementation of the hospital funding side of the national health reforms in the Northern Territory.

Dr Zbaidi is part of the medical education leadership team involved in the strategy, process and management of the NTGPE training programs.

Lina trained with NTGPE for her FRACGP fellowship and now works as part of the medical education leadership team. She is heavily involved in the strategy, process and management of the NTGPE training program such as workshops, external clinical visits, performance and progress reviews, small group learning, remediation and exam preparation.
