Passionate, skilled and innovative people make up the NTGPE family.

We offer training and support services to GP registrars, GP supervisors and training posts. To do this our people are skilled in medical education, management, administration, finance, counselling and well being, marketing and communications, events management, human resource management  and information technology.

There are about 45 full time staff and a 15 casual medical educators and assessors.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Stephen is the Chief Executive and Company Secretary of NTGPE Ltd.
Darwin, NT

Stephen is the Chief Executive and Company Secretary of NTGPE Ltd. For the last 19 years Stephen worked at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, most recently for seven years as a senior executive with responsibility for finance, budget, campus services, planning and facilities. Stephen has over 26 years’ experience in higher education, both in government (Canberra) and in universities in a variety of roles. In addition, while in Brisbane Stephen was a Director of a university innovation company as well as a Director on the boards of a private school, an aged care service and a hospital.

Stephen is very interested in education and health and, in particular, improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people. This will be the second time Stephen has worked in the NT; previously working as a labourer in Gove in the early 1980s before commencing university studies. Stephen has tertiary qualifications in science and economics and is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Executive Manager Education and Support
Christine has a strong background in quality assurance, administration, adult education and continuous improvement.

Christine has a strong background in quality assurance, administration, adult education and continuous improvement. She has been involved in the strategic direction of NTGPE since 2008 and currently sits at an executive level within the organisation. Christine’s role oversees the operational management of the GP registrar, GP supervisor and practice accreditation and pastoral care programs.

Graham oversees the training program at NTGPE. Graham is an important conduit between RACGP, ACRRM and NTGPE,

Graham oversees the training program at NTGPE. He also manages all medical educators, including the team that makes up the director of training unit at NTGPE. Graham is an important conduit between RACGP, ACRRM and NTGPE, and is required to provide high level oversight of the program. He is the signing off authority for completion of training (CoT) and recognition of prior learning (RPL).

Belle maintains high level administrative and business development support to the CEO.

Belle maintains high level administrative and business development support to the CEO. She is also responsible for business and secretariat to the NTGPE’s Board and its directors. She has been with NTGPE since 2009 progressing into the role she has today. Belle has a particular interest in the progress of closing the gap in health status between Indigenous and non- Indigenous Australians.

Amy is the first point of contact for NTGPE in her role of customer service and administration support. An Indigenous woman from the Kaditji and Anmatjere clans, Amy is Darwin born and bred and has a long term interest in health care delivery to Indigenous communities in the NT.

Claire works in a team to manage the administration and coordination of the GP Registrar Program.

Claire works in a team to manage the administration and coordination of the GP Registrar Program. Claire’s focus is planning external clinical teaching visits (ECTV) for GP registrars with medical educators. Claire has a strong background in travel which is beneficial to her busy role which involves coordinating medical educators and registrars to meet throughout the territory.
