The Ottawa Conferences on the Assessment of Competence in Medicine and Healthcare Professions were set up in 1985. Held every two years they are a forum for healthcare educators to share ideas on all aspects of assessment of competence in clinical and non clinical domains. NTGPE sent four representatives who attended a wide range of sessions on Professionalism, Simulation, Prevocational Doctor, Registrar and Supervisor education and assessment.
