Hours actually worked:
9 sessions plus 1 session for Thursday telecom. Option for more after hours. Lunch is scheduled b/n 1230 and 1330, so if you're efficient you get a decent Lunch break. The reception staff are fantastic and understand not to flog the Poor new GP reg. There is no pressure to see more than 3 an hour in your basic Term, but if you can keep to time, often you will see extras and emergencies. Once in the rhythm, you can run it the way you want to eg. I was seeing 4 an Hour with 2 catch-ups in the morning and 1 catch up in the afternoon.
After hours & oncall:
Optional.
Pay Rate:
45% (or more?) + Super.
Supervision:
Formal teaching 3 hr a week in Basic term. All the GPs at this clinic are really supportive and helpful and contactable.
Patient Demographics / Clinic Special Interests:
Larger percentage of males at this clinic, workplace medicine (medicals etc), Skin lesions, emergencies. Otherwise a fairly standard demographic for a Non-bulk billing practice.
Suitability:
Pleasant personality, flexible, hardworking and good sense of humour. It is a Fun practice.
