The AGPT program is designed to prepare GP registrars to complete a fellowship of Australian Remote and Rural Medicine (FACRRM) or fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Additionally there is the fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP) through RACGP which involves advanced rural skills training such as emergency medicine, mental health, anaesthetics and obstetrics.
In order to get into any of these fellowship pathways, every applicant must have their primary medical qualifications and their general medical registration. Visit the AGPT website for more information.
