Driven by health needs of the NT community, we will train GP registrars and support their learning environment to deliver outstanding general practitioners.
1. NTGPE will be the regional training organisation of choice for GP registrars to become competent and culturally secure GPs capable of providing quality health care in urban, rural and remote locations throughout Australia.
2. NTGPE will be the lead regional training organisation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, recognised for innovative and high quality clinical and cultural learning opportunities, with the explicit aim of closing the gap in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s health outcomes.
3. NTGPE will attract and retain medical educators and support staff who are recognised for their creativity and innovation and who work collaboratively with partners and communities to provide capacity that enables doctors to train in the NT.
4. NTGPE will be recognised as a responsible corporate leader through its commitment to reconciliation, community engagement, environmental sustainability, transparency, sound governance, collaboration and its genuine commitment to continuous quality improvement.
